Here at Lord & Midgley we understand the importance of looking after the environment, and it it because of this that recycling plays a big role at the plant. We ensure that we remove the following items, for recycling, from vehicles being scrapped at our depollution rig:

Batteries
Oil Filters
Tyres
Waste Oil
Brake Fluid
Fuel

Recognised by the DVLA – Lord & Midgley are an authorised treatment facility (ATF). We are only one of a handful in the North East Region. We can take any type of vehicle that has reached the end of its life. a Certificate of Destruction will be issued in line with current regulations once the vehicle has been scrapped. This leaves you with the peace of mind that your vehicle has been destroyed environmentally correctly.

Aluminium Cans

Recycling aluminium requires only 5% of the energy and products only 5% of the CO2 emissions compared with that of the primary production method. By recycling aluminum cans it significantly reduces the waste being dumped into landfills. This is why at Lord & Midgley we collect them by the thousands! Our plant is responsible for collecting aluminium cans from recycling depots around Hull, we then crush them into bales ready for them to be recycled and turned into something else, from another drinks can to an aeroplane.
